Uncle Homer Circle

Always insisting on the honorary "Uncle", Homer Circle is an icon of the industry and one of the great characters of sport fishing.  If you talk with him for more than five minutes, he'll feel like family - like your uncle too!  Homer Circle became a member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America in 1946 and has continued as an active, professional communicator ever since.  He's been a past president of the OWAA and has been a recipient of all three of that organization's awards: the Ham Brown Award, Best in Craft Award, and Jade of Chief's Award.  He's held the position of Game and Fish Commissioner of Arkansas, hosted three national outdoor television shows, is the Angling Editor for Sports Afield magazine and today, at the age of 94, Homer Circle continues to write two monthly columns in Sports Afield and Bass Master magazines.

Uncle Homer has been inducted into the International Fishing Hall of Fame, the IGFA Hall of Fame and the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame, holds four world fishing records.  Uncle Homer certainly isn't one-dimensional in talent, he's won the Arkansas Men's State Cooking Championship... twice!

When asked what he does to keep in such good physical shape as a nonagenarian, Circle replied; "Well, fishing itself keeps a man physically fit if he really hangs in there.  But, I exercise regularly, and one of my daily calisthenics is... a deep knee bend to thank God for the good life that has been mine...to be making a career at the world's greatest outdoor sport, fishing... and to count so many friends among the worlds greatest folks... fishermen!"

Glen Lau

Glen Lau has been a dedicated outdoorsman all of his life.  Through writing and photography, Lau has expressed his commitment to the protection of the environment.  He is a respected producer of documentary films, television programs and commercials, a still photographer, writer, wildlife and environmental consultant. Lau specializes in outdoor and underwater action photography and has recently released the 35th Anniversary Edition of his opus Bigmouth!

A list of all the awards Glen Lau has earned would take a significant quantity of ink.  He's the recipient of seven Telly Awards, twenty Teddy Roosevelt Awards, two Hugo Awards from the Chicago International Film Festival, three Golden Eagle Awards from the Council on International Non-Theatrical Events, two Communication Arts Awards, three First Place North American Film & Video Awards and dozens of others.  He's produced more than two hundred films, documentaries, television series and commercials.

The Fly Fish Ohio team would like to thank Brian Lovely and his band the Faux Frenchmen for use of their music on the intro and exit of this production.
